Ex raids zijn wellicht wel dé meest interessante raids om met elkaar te doen. Je krijgt bij een EX-Raid namelijk een exclusieve pokémon die je slechts één keer en soms twee keer per week kan doen. Het is niet vanzelf sprekend dat iemand deze raid zomaar kan doen. Hiervoor is een ex raid pass nodig. Deze speciale raid pass kan je enkel krijgen door extra veel en met meerdere mensen te raiden op onderstaande locaties.
